So I took a weekend workshop at CUNY School of Journalism titled CUNY J-Camp: Video Storytelling Bootcamp. I loved it.
I want to tell not just good stories but stories that help shine a light on the person – the real person. I know that might sound lofty but I don’t really care at this moment. The story is important but to me the person behind the story is who I want to get to know.
Anyway – we did an video exercise around “object of meaning” that we each brought in. Working in pairs we put together a 60 second clip about our partner. Here’s mine.

I’m not a loud talker. I know what can happen to them. Other people can hear. I know because I’m one of those other people. Well it’s also that I have really good ears. It’s a blessing and a curse. What can I say – I’m a people watcher – well I guess listener too.

Yes – about to embarrass myself once again.
Number 31 of “Moments” today! “They” say that if you do something for at least 30 days in a row – that it will start to become a habit.
I do tend to “share” a lot – much to the dismay of some people. (Don’t worry you name is Mud – oh I mean safe with me.) Is this public sharing something that should become a habit for me? Public being the important word here. Comment link’s up above.
