I know so many people are tired of the questions and discussions around brands. But as I get more into the marketing side of my business I can see how important it is to identify what you stand for. What is important to me? I read an article on branding that said to list three themes that I feel my business is about. I came up with Video Storytelling, Celebrations & Purpose. Not sure if purpose is a theme but it’s so important to me in everything I do. To have a purpose, a reason why you do what you do and what gets me up in the morning.

I’m here. I really didn’t go very far. I just let the dust settle with me in the middle. I think it’s settle but who knows. I feel a little excited to get back on here. Can only allow the “little” feeling right now – it’s too big of a commitment to let go of the “little” This will be a challenge for me – at first. I don’t know how many times I have said “I’m going to start writing again” but it’s too many and I’m boring myself.
So here I am – trying not to let myself get frustrated with the fact I can’t figure out some widget stuff. I’m not going to worry that this isn’t perfect tonight. In fact I’m not going to worry about anything. So there!
Also a part of our Wedding DVD invitations are slideshows of the hotel recommendations. Once the couple decides on the hotels they want to recommend to their guests – we will contact the hotel for their best images that show the rooms and put together a montage of the rooms and their prices. We also link to the hotel’s reservation website if you have internet access. It helps everyone to feel that much more comfortable.
Sorry had to help lend my frugal skills to those that needed them.
Lots to look forward to on “Everyone Has One” this week.
“How did you two meet?” That’s the title I really wanted to call this blog- but it was already taken. Boohoo. Which really is for the best because I probably don’t want to limit my stories to couples. After all you can only listen or be around couples for so many hours a week. I love couples don’t get me wrong – I’m a part of a couple myself. But if you go to a “couple event” solo – it can get wearing. What the heck- even if you are a couple within a “couple event” it can wear on you. Everyone needs variety. Anything in concentrated amounts loses it’s flavor. That goes for chocolate, couples, family, etc.
That said I never tired of learning how people met. I don’t think of myself as a romantic at all. I just like hearing how good things can happen for good people. I reminds me that you never know where that next subway, mouse click, airplane, friend will take you.
If you have a story to tell me email me at – Reelinvitations (at) gmail dot com.
Well this is actually my first. My first post. I’ve said for the last year that I was starting a blog and didn’t. But I’ve finally got tired of telling myself the same stories; “I don’t have enough material; I haven’t finished editing the videos; I can’t find extra time in the day; blah blah….” My stories are so over- and so now onto others and other things. My intention with this blog is to tell other people’s stories. My company is Reel Invitations and I create DVD interactive wedding invitations. And the biggest component of these invitations is the story of the couple. I won’t go into the whole thing you can go to my website. I love hearing people stories and I love helping to tell them. Some in video some not – who knows. I’m not going to complicate things right now.
